Proverbs Chapters 10.01-30.33
Proverbs chapters 10–30 are not a coherent story, but rather hundreds of independent maxims. The real way to read them is to shuffle and reorganize them into four major themes: the foundation of wisdom, character, life, and outcomes. Everything points to the same thing: the fear of the Lord equals partaking of the crucified and resurrected Christ. In a lifetime of devotion, have you only smelled the coffee, or have you actually drunk it?
Proverbs Chapters 01.01-09.18
That eternal Wisdom stood three times in the streets and at the city gates, crying out aloud. He is the resurrected Christ, inviting all to turn to Him and eat of the bread of life. The house of wisdom and the foolish woman set out their banquets at the same time, their invitations nearly identical, yet their outcomes worlds apart.
Proverbs Chapter 1:8-9, 18
The fear of the LORD alone is the beginning of wisdom; to gain wisdom is to gain life, while following the adulteress leads to death. Today God has placed His children into your hands. Are you guarding their bellies, minds, and futures, or are you guarding their hearts first? Are you willing to let them truly attain life for all eternity?
