The Christian Life: A Doctrinal Introduction

In the preface of this book, Packer writes that the Christian life is like a three-legged stool: truth (doctrine), personal experience, and the practice of the spiritual life. The very purpose of the author in writing this book is to help build the spiritual experience of Christians on a solid foundation of truth. Although the book touches upon theology, Dr. Frame teaches believers in the simplest and most understandable language how to apply biblical truth to their daily lives. Combined with Teacher W's audio teachings, brothers and sisters can gain a clearer understanding of: What is God's calling? The difference between the general call and the effectual call; the relationship between regeneration and the new life; what true faith and true repentance are; what it means to be “children of God” and what that entails; and what the spiritual reality of union with Christ is.
